So go stab someone in the head with a six inch gold blade to celebrate. No laughter.

IT'S A VERY HAPPY DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY

Ned Raggett (Ned), Thursday, 22 September 2005 15:43 (twenty years ago)

i saw him at a party the other week!

s1ocki (slutsky), Thursday, 22 September 2005 15:59 (twenty years ago)

When I heard the NPR report this morning, I thought "This would be a good ILM thread."

To celebrate, track down the video for "Nick The Stripper" - a classic!

Edward III (edward iii), Thursday, 22 September 2005 16:21 (twenty years ago)

Give me a hill in this FLat atoll state and I will walk it in celebration wearing a long black veil.

Miami would be NC's version of hell, no doubt.

Thea (Thea), Thursday, 22 September 2005 16:35 (twenty years ago)

Remind me why you're there again, Thea.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Thursday, 22 September 2005 16:43 (twenty years ago)

Hey, Ned. Just after we moved to London in Jan. there was some shuffling at my husband's company and he was asked to transfer here, instead. It was too good an opportunity for him to pass up.

Thea (Thea), Thursday, 22 September 2005 17:06 (twenty years ago)

Yay opportunity! So it's until the end of the year or beyond?

Ned Raggett (Ned), Thursday, 22 September 2005 17:08 (twenty years ago)

Miami would be NC's version of hell, no doubt.

Funny. Once, on a road trip from NJ to Florida many moons ago, our cassette of choice in the car was "The Firstborn Is Dead". It fit the landscape PERFECTLY.

Jay Vee (Manon_70), Thursday, 22 September 2005 17:10 (twenty years ago)

hahaha. heard this on NPR today, too.

xpost to Ned

Wellll...not sure how long but let's just say I'm keeping my eye on my calendar. However, he works the Latin America region so this has meant some fun travel lately (hopefully will be in Mex City for Dead Can Dance next week, fingers crossed). The travel is a treat which won't last, but so far I haven't seen the most promising job prospects, so I have some time on my hands.

Admittedly still sad about London, though

Thea (Thea), Thursday, 22 September 2005 17:25 (twenty years ago)
