I got an MP3 CD which has about ten hours of probably unlistenable music. As life is short, can ILxors point out the stuff I should check out

I've heard that band Radiohead is decent.

This photo looks like the Vietnam Memorial to shitty music.

I'd go with Balls Deep just out of curiosity.

joseph cotten (joseph cotten), Sunday, 25 September 2005 18:01 (twenty years ago)

Botch, Fantomas, Pig Destoyer.

What the hell is that comp from?

I'm not sure what you should listen to, but you definitely shouldn't touch Lamb of God.

Kyuss and Fantomas are worth a listen... And the Dead Kennedys track is a classic. Other than that I side with Cotten...

God Forbid are excellent, so are Burnt by the Sun, In Flames used to be but I don't know what period that song is from, that Dark Tranquillity song is fucking AWESOME, that Nile track is pretty much the definitive Nile song, Celtic Frost's "Circle of the Tyrants" is one of the all-time classics, Vehemence are a really interesting New Mexico take on the sort of melodic-but-brutal death of the Dark Tranquility mold, that Dillinger Escape Plan song is one of my favorites, gotta love Cannibal Corpse, everybody tells me Dark Funeral is great but I'm not much on the black metal...there's a start anyhow

mr cotton by "shitty music" do you mean "stuff I haven't actually heard but about which I have an opinion anyway"?
