All the dance threads get so cumbersome, y'know, and personally being in an incredibly isolated and backward geographical location would love just to know what's the absolutely genius new stuff out there, any style.

Ergo, limit recommendations to one track per post, and make it one that really blew you away.

(Maybe not all that new) But how extraordinary is that Paul Kalkbrenner "Tatu-Tatue" record? The drums sound like 1000 riot policemen advancing in steady steps, but with snappy handclaps. And it just builds and builds before releasing with that beautifully fresh use of the 20th Century Steel Band tune, with the little spooky wistful "make a living" refrains drifting in like a reminder that even though it's the end of the night on a saturday in the best club in the world you're still going back to work on monday. Really transcendent bit of music and it sounds like nothing else out there.
