I just noticed that Amazon keeps inviting artists to list ten albums people should hear (and, one presumes, buy). Some fun stuff:

"You know, "Pride (In the Name of Love)" was written for Martin Luther King..."

gaaah! Dear Cameron, thanks for the tip. You're a douche.

whereas A.C. Newman is much funnier than I expected. And his TS: John Mayer vs The Killers takes an interesting twist...

Tom Waits:
'Let The Buyer Beware', Lenny Bruce
Awesome in its scope and depth. Hal Wilner compiled this from thousands of feet of tape. It is the road that all comics of today are driving on.

Richard Belzer and Sinbad hardly qualify as "all comics of today", Tom.

fifteen years pass...

anybody else using Amazon Music on android and noticing ends of songs cut off, or the gapless audio no longer working?

i swear, every track shift lately seems jarring due to the short space, and it wasn't happening a few days ago. and gapless was introduced on Android last year

this is driving me nuts. on multiple albums, the last few seconds of every song are cut off. weirdly the durations are correct, so i have no idea what's causing it.

Try Tidal; they’re doing a 4 months for $.99 deal.

one month passes...

My daughter taught me that if I just tell our Amazon robot to play "music" it will manufacture a playlist based on my personal listening habits. I was dubious but damn if it hasn't absolutely nailed it so far. I mean, as well it should, but segueing from Dylan's "Girl from the North Country" to the Cure's "Fascination Street" is not only exactly the sort of thing I would do, it really worked, too!
