live hits

The only relief I got on my "rock" radio station on the drive home this afternoon was a live version of The Fixx's "Stand or Fall." Not sure why that particular track seems to be the only Fixx song I hear anymore, but at any rate, my question is this:

What songs (NOT albums) have charted in live versions? The only ones that jumped immediately to mind are the three hits from Frampton Comes Alive -- "Do You Feel Like I Do," "Baby, I Love Your Way," and "Show Me the Way."

What else?

a live version of the angels "am i ever gonna see your face again", complete with delightfully expletive-ridden audience participation, charted at #13 when released as a 7", if i recall correctly..

I want You To Want Me by Cheap Trick is the first one that comes to my mind, then there's that Dingaling piece of sludge by Chuck Berry.

'Folsom Prison Blues' and 'A Boy Named Sue' from "At Folsom Prison" and "At San Quentin", respectively.

the live version of "stand or fall" was my bane back when I lived in bloomington, IN and listened to the "progressive" station.

the stop making sense version of "once in a lifetime", which only charted after being on the soundtrack to some other movie.

This may only half-count, but I believe Prince's "I Could Never Take The Place Of Your Man" was live in the single version - definitely so in the video version, as it was from Sign O The Times.

I remember the Stop Making Sense version of "Once In a Lifetime" being on MTV constantly back in the day, but I suppose the song itself didn't re-chart as a result.

Did Fleetwood Mac's live version of "Landslide" from The Dance chart as a single? I certainly heard it a lot...

The single of James's "Sit Down" gets a half-point for having that insufferable outro where the audience sings the chorus for almost the entire length of the original song.

the live version of GbV's "i am a scientist" that heads up that particular 45 is the version i know best.. but calling it a hit might be considered foolish

George Michael's version of "Don't Let the Sun Go Down On Me", where he says "Ladies and gentlemen, Mr Elton John!" was some kind of hit.

kinks "lola"
nirvana "about a girl"

Stevie Wonder - "Fingertips"

Was "Coming Up" a hit in the live version -- I thought that was off McCartney II? That said, it seems to me that "Maybe I'm Amazed" may have charted off of Wings Over America.

Good call on the Cheap Trick (and Opus). I should have thought of them.

where he says "Ladies and gentlemen, Mr Elton John!"
I believe Elton John's live version of "Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds" feat. John Lennon got to Number One in the US.
