1) it sounds just like that (i'm almost certain that's it)

2) but i don't own any CDs that have that track on them (according to discogs / essential mix archives)

so ... either it's been released under a different name, or this thing is lurking on a CD or DJ mix that isn't on discogs and isn't google-able

any ideas? i have around 2000 discs floating around in my cabinet so i'd appreciate any help.

oh yeah, and is it desperate or desparate? i always fuck this one up...

what's that currently ubiquitous old house track, v percussive, with a sort of garbled or vocodered vocal going "i'm with you....in this soul/i'm with you.....in this funk" etc etc

i dont know, elan, though i wish i did-- those my kind of synths.

think of it this way, i heard a song from a mid-80s mix in 2006 from Chris-- was never able to figure out what it was, even though i remembered everything about it. then Bus Station John gave me sweet satisfaction when he played it and allowed a look at the label. the caveat: "You can't post this on your blog, boy." the man abides. still, this is some truly weird disco.

maybe it will happen sometime with this track. i am a trainspotter to the last.

Thanks for that! I remember having high expectations for that EP at the time, and being extremely disappointed with it, so I didn’t get it. Obviously a very slow burner! Loving the track now.
