On CD? Neither probably. But Atomizer >>> Songs.

Rich Man's 8-track has a bunch of extra songs (Headache EP and Heartbeat 7") whereas Songs has only one (Cheap Trick cover b-side). So if you have both vinyls I would recommend 8-Track.

Get both.

Get The Hammer Party, Rich Man's 8 Track, Songs About Fucking, AND the Scratch Acid CD!!

xgurggleglgllg (xgurggleglgllg), Friday, 24 March 2006 09:36 (twenty years ago)

Yeah, get 'em all. No Big Black collection is complete without "Deep Six" ("I'm God's gift to women, they always want my dick / except for that college girl / I'll kill her"), therefore rendering Hammer Party unexpendable.

I think there are actually two bonus cuts on "Fucking" - unless I misremember and the Kraftwerk cover WAS on the vinyl (it's easy to miss 'cause I think this might be the only case of a bonus track being sequenced as the FIRST TRACK on a re-issue)

Major Bloodnok (Major Bloodnok), Friday, 24 March 2006 16:25 (twenty years ago)

It's not the first track, though, it's track 2. And I think it's actually a different version to the one on the single, so it was probably on the album originally?

Colonel Poo (Colonel Poo), Friday, 24 March 2006 16:28 (twenty years ago)

Oops, yer right: How could I forget about "The Power of Independent Trucking"? I take it all back. That'll teach me to trust my memory, especially for stuff easily verifiable over the internet.

A thousand pardons.

Major Bloodnok (Major Bloodnok), Friday, 24 March 2006 16:56 (twenty years ago)

Also some Fall reissues that came out mid-late 90s have the bonus tracks before the album starts! My copy of Perverted By Language for example!

Sorry to piss on your chips.

Colonel Poo (Colonel Poo), Friday, 24 March 2006 17:07 (twenty years ago)

With such piss-worthy chips, I'm afraid I left you with little choice.

Major Bloodnok (Major Bloodnok), Friday, 24 March 2006 17:28 (twenty years ago)

Do what xgurggleglgllg said and get the Il Duce 7inch and the Sound Of Impact bootleg vinyl album if you can find it. (I have it, but I'm not selling, I'm afraid). It kicks "It's Toasted" 's ass.

oooooh, that numbered cover I have is rare? nice. (smug grin)

YOU PUSSIES CAN ALL SUCK OUR COCKS

This compact disc, compiled to exploit those of you gullible enough to own the bastardly first generation digital music system, contains all-analog masters. Compact discs are quite durable, this being their only advantage over real music media. You should take every opportunity to scratch them, fingerprint them, and eat egg and bacon sandwiches off them. Don't worry about their longevity, as Philips will pronounce them obsolete when the next phase of the market-squeezing technology bonanza begins.

somebody sang "prayer to god" at karaoke last week.

So, are they on iTunes yet?
