Is that Klosterman review of "Chinese Democracy" in the new Spin a hoax?

Since I was unable to find any discussion of this, I'm finding it hard to believe the album is actually about to be released. And that it features a duet with Dave Pirner. I suppose next you'll tell me Axl is hiring members of the Replacements.

There's been a lot of activity on the G'n'R rumor front lately (leaked tracks, Axl spottings and such), so I suppose it could be true. But, more importantly, who gives a flyin' crap? It's going to suck regardless of when it's released.

Is it the April 1st issue? (and is it online or can somebody link/post it?)

It says at the bottom of the review it's a joke! (Read the box!)

Emily Haines (Metric) considered buying Spin.

Johnny Fever (johnny fever), Saturday, 25 March 2006 02:39 (twenty years ago)

he prob'ly made a bet eight years ago to make reviewing Chinese Democracy the last CD he'd ever write for SPIN. and since his Back Pages piece is his own "divorce," it's an almost poignant farewell.
