albums that sound like "radio amor"

I really, really love radio amor by tim hecker. What else sounds like this album? I know fennesz is kinda the same but for me doesn't really have whatever tim hecker has. Also I enjoy greg davis, keith fullerton whitman, and ulrich schnauss but they aren't quite the same. So what other dream-glitch albums are you folks listening to?

Stars of the Lid don't sound exackly alike either, but conjure the same moods I think. Big chunks of 20 Jazz Funk Greats are Hecker-esque, "Beachy Head" especially. Windy & Carl might do it for ya. And you could always get some other Tim Hecker albums, ja?

Yeah, the other Hecker albums, obviously, like Haunt Me, Haunt Me, Do It Again (my favorite). And others that fill the same gap for me, although they don't sound the same (what does?--Hecker is the undisputed master of his genre IMO):

Alvin Lucier - Music on a Long Thin Wire
Six Organs of Admittence - School of the Flower
Firefly Wreck - s/t

Oren Ambarchi - Triste, Suspension, Grapes from the Estate (slightly more instrumentation)

you might like these
Thomas Koner-Zyklop
I.S.O.-I.S.O.
Steve Roden & Jason Kahn-Shimmer
Fourcolor-Water Mirror
Stephan Mathieu-Die Entdeckung Des Wetters, or anything else by him
Ian Epps-finds the 4 year old child
Repeat-Pool
Mitchell Akiyama-If Night Is A Weed And Day Grows Less

Although these aren't as dramantic as Radio Amor, and sometimes less musical, I feel they all carry a similar emotional weight and texture. Also go to japanimprov.com and the shop carries a lot of this as well as other labels like AMORFON,COMMUNE-DISC,CUBICFABRIC/CUBIC MUSIC,MEME,APESTAARTJE,CUT,FOR 4 EARS,LUCKY KITCHEN,SIRR,

You might enjoy Cul de Sac's Death of the Sun too.

cul de sac? we must be hearing different things...

anyway, the eluvium album on kranky is similarly hazy if a bit more melodic. also 'strings + feedback' by andrew peckler is a little too cold for my tastes, but you might like it.

I'm thinking of the found sounds and the general field-y ambience of the Cul de Sac record. I know they're not two peas in a pod or anything.

There's not much out there with the same nautical theme like Radio Amor but these have that breathless dreamy thing going for them...

Kim Cascone - "Cathode Flower" (Ritornell)
Brain Eno - "Apollo: Atmospheres & Soundtracks"(Virgin)
Stephan Mathieu - "Heroin" (Staalplaat)
Philip Jeck - "7" (Touch)
Andrew Thomas - "So You Wanna Be a (Death) Star" (Involve)
Dettinger - "Oasis" (Kompakt)
Klimek - "Milk & Honey" (Kompakt)
Oval - "Szenariodisk" (Thrill Jockey)
Monolake - "Gobi: The Desert" (Monolake)

Venice has some kind of nautical theme

lol @ typing Six Organs of Admittance or Oren Ambarchi.

check this one, maybe you'll enjoy it;

Belong - "October Language"

i love Radio Amor, album is still underrated but maybe thats fine cos "Endless Summer" (which is classic ofcourse)was much hyped by indie zines, and you got a situation when guy whos listening only to the killers or libertines or keane and his musical taste is a copy of NME covers says that he like very much Fennesz o yeah Endless Summer is sooooo coool, which is ridiculous and sucks.
