where is any emotion other than indifference for THE KIWI ANIMAL?

so both of their albums (music media and mercy) are being reissued on cd. and i think they're beautiful and strange and not even very new zealand-y in that stereotypical way. so anyone else like them?

anyone heard the EP or their officially unreleased 3rd album? and we can talk about shoes this high (brent hayward's earlier band who did an amazing and sorta fall-ish 7" in 1981), too, 'cause they were fucking great as well.

haha if I didn't have to deal w/br3nt hayw4rd busking on the street I live & work on every day I'd feel more sympathy!

shoes this high's "the nose one" is amazing, & the 7" was reissued on fast food a few years back & shld still be available. the kiwi animal's "blue morning" is k-pretty; local record store has one of their LPs for $20 bucks or so. am curious to hear that smelly feet song that the 3ds covered.

i think i spent my kiwi animal-esque emotions up on bill dirreen or marie & the atom (got the bongos 7" today for a few bucks & saw one of the beat rhythm fashion 7"s - the whole wgtn post-punk scene was grebt inna ubu/fall style, wasn't it?)

so, is the reissue actually happening? that page has been up for a few years - i heard br3nt & jul1e had had another falling out.

(& that shld be bill direen, not bill dirreen, above)

beath rhythm fashion were pretty much an imitation of the cure or joy division were'nt they...used to love one of their tunes when i was 12 or so

and this sentence "not even very new zealand-y in that stereotypical way" - is nonsense

i think he meant that they don't actually stick out their tongues to intimidate their enemies.

ahh, i didn't know. last time i searched for "kiwi animal" i got a bunch of pictures of extinct birds and brent's webpage turned up as number 60 in the results...

and this sentence "not even very new zealand-y in that stereotypical way" - is nonsense

no electric guitars jangling away is all i meant. (GENERALIZATION!)

thirteen years pass...

These albums are incredible and have just been re-reissued on vinyl by Digital Regress.

But now I am extremely sad to discover that they could have been reissued on CD and it seems never were? Bah humbug.
(I got the digitals from the Bandcamp anyway)
