Will this Mad Professor show be worth $15 if Stephen & Kymani Marley are headlining?

So I was reading the newspaper and saw that Mad Professor will be at this dancehall club near my house, opening for Stephen and Kymani Marley. Anyone have any idea how this'll be? I haven't heard anything from these particular Marleys, and I'm a little skeptical.

I've heard Kymani on an Elephant Man track, I think, and unless I'm mistaken Stephen co-wrote and possibly produced much of the last Damien Marley album. That's about the extent of my knowledge of them. I doubt a show would be worth $15 for them though, but you never know.

Stephen wrote most of the few okay tunes the Melody Makers made...I have a niggling suspicion he's the secret genius of all the Marley kids....we'll see when his album drops next year .
Kymani's done some good tunes in his time - i've got a couple of great 7's - sure he'd be good live.

as for Mad Professor - I've seen him live about 6 times...he's always great - has a little studio onstage with him - plays deep riddims with big big bass sounds - and dubs them live . And he usually has a little jungle segment in his show that's damn good as well . Let us know how they all were if you go

Mad Prof. played here a few months back. Didn't get to see it, but all accounts say he was really excellent. I'd go see the show if only for his set. And who knows, maybe the rest will be worth it, too...

Kymani and Steven have had a few good singles in the past year or so...it's always worth $15 to see Mad Professor.

Is $15 really that much money for a concert anyway you look at it? It's not much more than a movie. . .

Is it dancehall every night at this club?

Mark (MarkR), Saturday, 22 April 2006 18:58 (twenty years ago)

It's called Crossroads, and judging from they're website it seems like most nights it's reggae and dancehall. Looks like they have salsa and soca nights, too.

$15? What, is this from 1991? Sounds like a steal just for madprof alone.

lee perry is giving up touring...thank god - saw him with mad prof on his "last tour" recently - shockingly bad !
