They did quite a few things even under the 'Bucketheads' moniker, it's just that "The Bomb" was the only one to hit the charts. In terms of how much the duo have done generally, it's almost more a case of being too prolific - there's so much quality stuff out there that it's hard to be as excited about it as it deserves.

That said, "Work" (released by MaW) is fantastic.

Didn't they do that 'nightcrawlers' track ?, cool video to the bomb aswell. The Masters at Work CD by them is good too.

they were a bit pissed off when The Bomb was a UK hit cos ended up costing them 30 grand for the Chicago sample

the first BBE 4cd set (with the silver box) is probably a good overview. and the Nu Yorican Soul album is mid-price nowadays

It was a Kenny Dope solo production, featuring an expensive Chicago sample. He also released a Bucketheads album...

I listened to 'The Dungeon Tapes' only yesterday. When I am a world famous DJ I will play "Whew!" and mash heads on a regular basis.

seems as good a place as any to big up the Henry Street compilation from a few years ago - found it on Spotify yesterday. so much excellence, esp. Kenny Dope's own tunes ('Whew' so much better than i remembered, maybe it's a different mix tho), and which came first out of Johnick's 'The Captain' and AVH 'You Don't Know Me'?
