Glastonbury - The Movie

This was shown on BBC2 over the weekend.

Didn't bother taping it but it was pretty good anyway, if only for the Velvet Underground doing "All tomorrows parties" and not letting Lou sing it making a hash of it.

However, "They are detaining people under the SUS laws. I know it's mostly used on Black people, but now they are using it on us AND WE DON'T LIKE IT" Hmmm.....

(Wouldn't that guy have had to sign a release form for that? Assuming that he didn't actually mean to infer "It's OK to use it on black people" which is how it came across)

I watched the latter part of this film. It was a bit too much "loopy people in fields pretending to be l;oopier than they really are" but it was entertaining. I think I enjoyed the fence information most. I will be haunted for ever by the footgae of the toilets being emptied. I really do think that anyone who uses those toilets (which I suppose means "goes to Glastonbury") should be forced to wear an electronic tag or something that enables the rest of us to avoid them.

Also, I objected to Jarvis Copcker's idea that "making it" was somehow noble or worthwhile.
