Wooden Octopus Skull 2006, Seattle : Noise fest 9/7-9/11

Yeah, I'm coming up to see Chrystal Belle for sure. Is this all taking place in one venue? Do you know what neighborhood?

That's yet to be worked out. It's stretching out over four days. Thursday is when all the Japanese artists are playing, Friday is the women of noise day. I forget the themes for the other two but Wolf Eyes is Sunday.

There is still awaiting of confirmation of one more artist... crossing fingers heavily. (hint: this artist recently played SF)

But Consolidated Works is behind this, so I'd hope they'd be choosing some venue or venues very central in Seattle. (ConWorks' own venue is in a weird lease state right now, unfortunately, otherwise the choice would be obvious.)

HINT: i have an idea of who!

Ah, scratch that. I checked again, and his involvement is not as central as I'd thought. Could be a marketing team, sure why not?

The venue will be the Conjuring room for all performances. All ages, no alcohol allowed. It's a block and a half north of Starbucks Headquarters in the north SoDo, just south of Safeco field a few blocks.

looks like Chrystal Belle Scrod is off of the lineup now, not listed on the Saturday lineup. Bummer.

Just got back from the Wolf Eyes, Douple Leopards (all four of 'em!), Dead Machines, Yellow Swans, Hive Mind, The Cherry Point show... it would be impossible to have a lineup like that not be great.. but this would probably the show of the year for me, if not for years... and this is just after seeing Devo do a great set the night before. Tomorrow, Big Melvins Business! (Wednesday, Nomeansno.. Thursday, Panoptica/Nortena collective, Wobbly, Speedy J, ah damn I am going to explode)
