Blondie documentary on BBC4

Essential viewing. Incredibly candid, funny and sad with interviews with all the band past and present (there's some extreme bitterness on display!). There's some great archive footage including an insane live version of 'The tide is high' with Walter Stedding that comes across as a lost No Wave gem and actually made me like the song for the first time ever.

Debbie is still a godess.

There's a torrent on UK Nova.

I caught it late on BBC2 I think, and if it's the same one, yes it was fascinating. The dragging of baggage..... The continuing spats between the factions of the band looked nothing short of playground material though. If you've come through major substance addiction(s) it ain't going to hurt too much to just be nice to someone for once, is it?!

the sideways look on Debbies face during the drum solo at the end was priceless.

Thanks for the heads up. I thought it was fantastic. What other documentaries have been done? I've got a Fall one and a Sun Ra one.

Wow, this is crazy. I was just telling my good friend Grimly Fiendish the other day that a few months ago I saw a picture of Kirsten Dunst on someone's newspaper while riding the bus and couldn't resist getting a closer look because I thought it was Debbie Harry at first.

anna nicole smith should play debbie harry. not that she's fit to lick debbie's shoes, but...

As an actress to play Debbie Harry, I'd pick Elisha Cuthbert. Watch Weezer's "Perfect Situation" video.

Here is a picture of her (in the center):

Nice site Nick!

Wouldn't mind seeing the film in my current mood.

Wouldn't mind seeing Walk The Line either.
