there is a huge movement afoot to name bands after south american literary figures. it's like, so, like, kickass, 'cause it means you probably read their books and can talk about stuff. it isn't just an image. i had like the best conversation with the lead singer of The Moacyr Scliars the other night...

i listened to some of the tracks. i liked the first one that popped up on the myspace page...it reminded me of a latin version of mid-80s tangerine dream, kinda.
