ok, i've just come back from watching the 'Alvin Purple Experience'..they are a pub band who do covers of all seventies glam rock stuff with a bit of ABBA thrown in. It's a small gaff about enuff to fit 100 ppl and this guy isnt getting the attention he so desperately craves. He comes down to me and my friends corner and blathers some shit about 'if were not dancing ye must be poofters and you'll go home and say top yr friends ..oh they were a nice bunch of lads balh blah blah'...my knee is fuckin killing after Paddys Day ..I only came to this stupid bastard cos I thought it might get my mind off missing GYBE! last night and then i get this fuckhead telling me to enjoy myself...he ends up sounding like that bloke who had his hand stuck up Orville's arse for 20 years rather Jonhnny Rotten..he then goes on to slag 'Tipperary fellas'...hahahmuch much fuckin hilarity ensues as he proclaims 'Alvin Purple' since eight six woo-hoo...I want to strangle the fuck...
On the good side I remember a pub band I saw in a run down pub and no-one was paying a bit of notice to 'em but fuck it they were havin' some fun and they rocked...a real 'power trio' excuse the cliche...they played 'satisfaction' and the bass player did a really cool bass solo in the middle ..they played 'Proud mary' and played it with the raggedy-ass charm that song deserves and I thought they were the bee's knees and I dont even know what their name was...So what pub bands have u seen that rocked or sucked?
