If you're going to pronounce the death and rebirth of an artform, you may as well go all out. I love the way the lyric begins as a typical diss and then accelerates rapidly into the apocalyptic, the music building similarly. But most of all I love those choked beats. What say you: "Turn the page" - geezer, or not geezer?

I love how much like bombastic early rave the strings are, and then when the 2-step beat comes in it's such a statement of intent... It's a really great rising tension track, with the slowly filling in slow-strings around the stiffer main loop, a very good example of how clever an *arranger* Skinner is.
As for the rap: almost antithetical to MC-ing because it's much more a speech than a rap (totally freestyle - almost no rhythm to it). The only person he sorta reminds me of is Eminem (surprisingly) because of his tendency to rhyme four or five words in the one sentence, but his style is a lot looser and less perfect than Eminem's. "Be brave/clench fists" is a great last line in the context of the track.
Gzeus - as someone who is yet to read any reviews for the album but nontheless loves it dearly, I'd argue that there's more than enough excitement to be generated by the music itself.
