Pluxus

Just got a copy of Fas2 from Pluxus - what a neat little album - at the tasty reduced price of £3.99. It was missing the new song Agent Tangent, but asides from that it's very nice.

Anyway, I wondered what you guys thought of this little known act and what are your thoughts on similar bands like Plone, Different Strokes etc... Any recommendations?

agent tangent is on 'european onion' and it is fabulous, much like everything else i have from pluxus which actually only consists of the ep och resan fortsatter har(add assorted accents and dots). it seems so simple and groovy mostly just analogue keyboards, but it cam make me smile nearly endlessly. i also love plone although they seem less made for the dancefloor than pluxus.

Honestly surprised there was a thread. Am listening to the Kompakt reissue of Solid State now -- took me by surprise, not what I expected but I wasn't too sure what to expect to start with. More tactile and (sorta) polyrhythmic.

they're on Kompakt now? Neat! Although Agent Tangent will always be a fave.

From what I've heard (not all their stuff, but people talk) Solid State is not like the music they made before it -- it's less pop, more strange. Which makes me want to hear more of their future catalog and not so much of the back catalog, tbh.
