im not sure about the kinda audio bullys type name, and i can see maybe they're trying to tie into the newrave scene, and it does veer close to the sub braxe/justice type pads, but more organicy than that, almost Deodatoish, lite jazzy touches, but allied to what, to me, sounds like prime era Mike Banks - ok, at this stage, evoking militant sounding banks/mills might feel like a pastiche in a way, esp for a bunch of guys out of New Cross, but it feels genuine to me
The problem for me is the vocal tracks. deadpan 'dystopian future is here' style lyrics kind of grate, and copying model500's future might work for dopplereffekt at the height of electroclash, but it sounds a bit tinny and weak for these guys, esp next to the instrumentals, which you feel is what they really want to be doing
how long till the inevitable klaxons remix though, lol
