What do you think of the choices?:

U2 - City of Blinding Lights
U2 - Beautiful Day
KT Tunstall - Suddenly I See
Smash Mouth - I'm a Believer
The Temptations - Get Ready
Dixie Chicks - Ready to Run
Shania Twain - Rock This Country
Jesus Jones - Right Here Right Now
The Staple Singers - I'll Take You There

Five out of nine by foreigners! A mini-lexicon of pandering! A Neil Diamond cover!

I think I would have to go with The Staple Singers from this list, but surely there are some more original, but still appropriate, choices.

She should continue with her husband's use of Fleetwood Mac. I suggest "Somebody's Gonna Get Their Head Kicked In Tonite."

lol at pitfalls of choosing a song called 'ready to run'

She should pick something the youth of today can relate to, like Do The Bartman.

StanM, Thursday, 17 May 2007 13:45 (nineteen years ago)

Wot, no poll?

At least she didn't pick "Born to Run."

ugh @ smash mouth cover

deej, Thursday, 17 May 2007 15:19 (nineteen years ago)

staple singers by miles

deej, Thursday, 17 May 2007 15:19 (nineteen years ago)

I voted for KT Tunstall because it has a swear in it

A B C, Thursday, 17 May 2007 15:36 (nineteen years ago)

Beware the Jesus Jones factor

Ned Raggett, Thursday, 17 May 2007 15:36 (nineteen years ago)

Moby - When It's Cold I'd Like to Pander

humansuit, Thursday, 17 May 2007 15:37 (nineteen years ago)

Chris Dodd is using the Temptations song already, and Edwards did the Smash Mouth in 2004. Please don't let her use the Staple Singers, I don't want it ruined by associations with some campaign. I vote for "Rock This Country (specifically, Canada)" by Shania Twain.

Staple Singers is the only good song on the list (and its a GREAT song) so yeah I hope she uses anything but that one

Shakey Mo Collier, Thursday, 17 May 2007 16:15 (nineteen years ago)

She's really limiting herself to these choices? It doesn't speak well of her judgment.

Daniel, Esq., Thursday, 17 May 2007 16:34 (nineteen years ago)

staples song is the best song, but that's not what this is about. i voted for shania.

gabbneb, Thursday, 17 May 2007 17:19 (nineteen years ago)

please anything but beautiful day thoo

gabbneb, Thursday, 17 May 2007 17:19 (nineteen years ago)

How about "She's as Beautiful as a Foot" by Blue Oyster Cult.

Bill Magill, Thursday, 17 May 2007 17:34 (nineteen years ago)

The Secrets - "No Fucking Way"

Platinum Punx - "No Way, No How"

Juicy Juice Krew + Mikey - "Former Goldwater Girls Be Stealin' Shit From The White House All Night Long (megamixxx)"

Paul Stanley featuring Boyd Rice and Chingy - "If You Cant Piss Out A Fire (You Can't Run Our Stupid Country)"

Manalishi, Thursday, 17 May 2007 18:59 (nineteen years ago)

Manalishi that's a little sexist. Hilary would have to straddle the fire, and depending on how high the flames are it could get quite unbearable while in the process of pissing. Throw into that the lower flame-retardation qualities of some womens clothing, and I believe you are just pissing up a tree with that one.

humansuit, Thursday, 17 May 2007 19:05 (nineteen years ago)

The only way I might vote for her is if she picked "You're My Miss Washington DC" by Nation of Ulysses.

James, Thursday, 17 May 2007 22:41 (nineteen years ago)

Grinderman - No Pussy Blues

Tape Store, Thursday, 17 May 2007 23:21 (nineteen years ago)

oh snap

BIG HOOS aka the steendriver, Thursday, 17 May 2007 23:41 (nineteen years ago)
