Well, I think there's a very similar 'pulsing' sound from that wfl mix and Macarena, yeah.

I'm sure Macarena was way after, possibly cribbed from it.

A bit of context. I was at a wedding, where someone had requested Happy Mondays to aleviate the tacky dross that the DJ was playing. At one point, I heard the opening beats of what I thought was Hallelujah, and said to friends 'now that's more like it...' only to be told it was the Macarena.
