Nothing's up about them outside of a few LTM threads, so yeah.

I actually really love Too Crazy Cowboys.

they had a lot of crappy tracks, but i love tracy + pansy and silhouettes. i'm thinking i should check that lp again.

Hit and miss, but the hits are well worth hearing.

The hit-and-miss-ness of theirs is really intriguing to me, somehow.

Also, "Misuse" almost sounds Knife-y, and "Nuns and Soldiers" has really cool melancholy synth string bits.

oddly enough, i've heard nothing by them. were they NO roadies, or was that someone else (red turns to, maybe)?

one year passes...

that's it? How come ILM postpunkers aren't on this thread? Yeah, kinda hit or miss, but never quite sure which are the hits and which are the misses... tho I do love 'Jess + Bart'

Too Crazy Cowboys is a really great album. Don't know too much about them apart from that though.

twelve years pass...

so I know it's a Stanton Miranda solo release, not Thick Pigeon per se, but I just heard Wheels Over Indian Trails for the first time and holy shit

Absolute classic and sounds even more incredible played loud on a club system

Troglodytes is the keeper for me, but there are a few other high points in the very small discography. Wild to think about where Carter Burwell's career went after this.

the “dog”/“tracy + pansy” single is so great

three months pass...

Been listening to the Miranda Dali album this week (got the LTM reissue CD) and I love it, so spiky and friendly

two years pass...

so I know it's a Stanton Miranda solo release, not Thick Pigeon per se, but I just heard Wheels Over Indian Trails for the first time and holy shit

came here for this exact same reason - picked up the 12" cheap cos it had Stephen and Gillian on it and it rules

great hearing little bits of The Perfect Kiss conga sample on there

would also say that the video clip is deeply worthy of a holy shit response - i mean holy shit

They sure don’t make jams or clips like that one anymore!

I like how when you search for "Thick Pigeon" you also get pictures of...thicc pigeons
