If I were in a band, I'd want it to sound like a mix of Jacques Dutronc and Flipper. I have absolutely no idea how that would work or sound. Any bands that have attempted similar sounds? If so, it'd probably be right up my alley.

Hmm. A lot of current detroit bands are doing this sludge punk + psychedelic overtones thing. I don't know if it counts but like Human Eye or something might fit. I haven't heard Jacques Dutronc though.
