Jetset was a pretty solid label from 1996-2004, as far as putting out pretty good stuff. They had some big bands like Mogwai, The Jesus Lizard, Black Box Recorder, The Arab Strap, Luna, Sahara Hotnights, etc. Also, there was the great series of stuff like the two Songs for the Jet Set compilation CDs, Death by Chocolate, David Candy, etc.
After they did those three Go-Betweens deluxe 2CD reissues, it seemed like they went kaput pretty quick. Anyone know what happened? Anyone a fan of stuff from the label? I would love to discover more stuff done by the Death By Chocolate people... wonder if they're doing anything now.

good question. perhaps the go betweens reissues were very expensive to do and sold badly?

i don't think the 'perhaps' and '?' were necessary

maybe, but would that be enough to cripple a label? i highly doubt it.

can any more light be shed? any appreciation?

Too experimental, too much trash and no stars.
