This will be the last 60s poll I do. I will now go forward from where I stopped a few months ago instead, as I feel there isn't much of value before The Beatles anyway.

Voted "From Me To You".

The Beatles were in a league of their own in 1964. The Beatles songs are the best four songs in this Top 50, followed by "Bad To Me", which was also a Lennon/McCartney original.

The Beatles would have deserved to pwn the poll, but nothing wrong about Phil Spector either. He was the only one who was even remotely close to the quality of the Merseybeat acts that year (and, well, Beach Boys released an excellent more ballad-oriented album towards the year-end too)
