We've kind of been over this I think. He's had home visits and so forth. The notion of how prison works, what its function is, etc., differs greatly from society to society. The model we use here in the U.S. is extremely stupid and counterproductive.

(at least that's what I think I recall hearing abt Varg's deal, maybe I'm wrong and this is just a clever photoshop or a shot from his brief "prison break" which IIRC was a failure-to-report-back from a visit)

Now that you mention it - this has indeed already been discussed elsewhere. (Can't find the exact thread at the moment though - it was about how he had access to computers and how the place looked so nice during a (tv?) interview or something)

The defense is submitting the results of modern DNA analysis that show no match between Damien Echols, Jason Baldwin, and Jesse Misskelley and any of the collected evidence on record. No hairs, no specks of skin, no blood, not a spot of incriminating anything anywhere. Even John Mark Byers is on their side now, which is pretty dramatic. But the presiding judge is still the same Judge Burnett that oversaw the original trial, so who the hell knows...he keeps getting promoted just as the case ascends through the court system over the years. He'll probably be on the US Supreme Court if this case ever makes it there.
