I'm realizing, after a recent bout with the SFA catalog, that in that whole 90s/00s pantheon of psych indie pop or whatever you want to call it... Flaming Lips, SFA, Polyphonic Spree, etc. that the Super Furries are the most relistenable because.. well, their songs work REALLY well with kids! I don't have kids, but (ok occasional naughty words aside) SFA -- especially with all the colorful Fowler art -- had a good decade run of indie pop for kids... which is a bit of an underrated quality. I don't think kids would dig on Flaming Lips or Mercury Rev or the Spree nearly as much.
