there musta be a very similar thread somewhere, i believe. i vaguely remember posting on that.

I guess maybe I just go to stores w/smart clerks? Never heard anything monumentally dumb. The dudes at Antone's have that giant reference shelf behind them, but despite the obscurity of my questions I've never seen them have to open it. Same with the dudes at End of an Ear, who seem to know significantly more than me about pretty much everything I buy.

I was buying some old Budgie albums a long long time ago and the clerk was like "you know this isn't the drummer from Siouxsie and the Banshees, right?".

He was absolutely disgusted that I liked Budgie.

You should have spat at him.

Alex, under nu-ILX protocol you're supposed to say "You should have tutted quite loudly at him."
