Or a bootmix.

Was it Brian Wilson singing over it? Thom Yorke perhaps?

There's another Beatles song called "Revolution Number 9", could it be that?

I have no idea who was singing on it; it was in some store like Urban Outfitters or some shitty youth-oriented bullshit store where i was being dragged. It definitely wasn't "Revolution 9"; that song doesn't sound anything like "Revolution." It isn't even really a song.

x-post

Oh, it didn't occur to me that it might be some kind of mash-up. Hmmm.

by the way, it was the slow version of "Revolution," not the fast one. I can't remember now whether the instrumentation was really exactly the same (as in the exact same backing track, as in a mash-up) or whether it was a very good replica. Something makes me feel like it was the latter and not the former.

You're sure it wasn't "Come Together"? There's a widely played out mashup of that with Thom Yorke's "Black Swan."

Savannah Smiles, Tuesday, 24 June 2008 14:24 (seventeen years ago)

nah, it was definitely "Revolution."
