i kinda wish i wouldn't have said they were from mpls in the thread title cuzza ppl correctly assume i'm a big mpls local rock stan and all...but i swear this might be my favorite album of the year..
it's so natural and weird and murky sounding, it's got a sense of mystery about it to me...it's also cool in a way because so much "avant garde" type rock bands are so aggressive where this is shadowy and diffuse....
sounds amazing too, it keeps you at this odd echoey distance that i really like in compared to how flat and in your face everything sounds nowadays.

it's a sort of film score for the 1920 film, mostly instrumental, second half esp. is filled with electronic effects and psychedelic touches. Amazing.
