i agree that the stones had some of these (lots of satanic majesties, e.g., and arguably even "ruby tuesday"), but i don't think "have you seen your mother" is wimpy, fey or twee. sort of psychedelic, yeah, but it's a rave-up.
xpost: like scott said.

'Play With Fire' is soft and psyche-ish, not very twee though - in fact it's actually sort of menacing.
― Gavin in Leeds, Friday, 15 May 2009 17:59 (seventeen years ago)
"Twee" isn't normally an adjective I'd associate with ye olde Stones.
― Alex in NYC, Friday, 15 May 2009 18:01 (seventeen years ago)
Maybe "As Tears Go By"?
Here be the twee:

Some Stone's involvement. Kind of a shame they couldn't expand the "Something Better" b/w "Sister Morphine" single into a full album of like material for her.

why was it always listed as "Child of the Moon (rmk)"? what does "rmk" mean? "remake"? but as far as I'm aware that's the only version of the tune..

I've put together a poll related to this thread, avoiding the psychedelic or "girl group" songs and trying to focus on just the twee. Well, I explain it in more detail on the poll. You can find it here:
