In addition to those wonderful music, game, and movie files, you'll also get spyware and viruses. YAY!

Over the last few days, Soulseek has really blossomed.

WinMX is the best so far. Kazaa is STILL boobytrapped with spyware and ads. Audiogalaxy is gone and Morpheus is next in line for the chopping block.

I WANT I WANT I WANT a good MAC replacement for Audiogalaxy. Alternatively, anyone who has Luomo's "Diskonize Me" can just e-mail it to me, and send along anything else I might like.

(I'm suffering serious audiogalaxy withdrawal symptoms here)

Instead of Kazaa, get kazaalite at kazaalite.com. All the good of Kazaa with little of the bad AFAIK.

I've gotten a few interesting things from WinMX (Exile on Main St. Outtakes, etc.) and am tempted to give Soulseek another chance - my experiences with it in the first week after Audiogalaxy went down were not positive. Still, I've yet to find anything that comes close to Audiogalaxy.

WinMX and Soulseek seem to have the best selection at the moment (Soulseek is working OK now). Not on par with AG but not bad. But they both have horrid interfaces and it takes forever to download anything due to the queueing systems. I can't be bothered half the time. Kazaa has the best interface and download system (I could care less about the ads etc, that's just scaremongering) but the selection is not so good, I think because you can set it so noone can download from you.
