Can you help folks? someone sent me an e-mail asking for a song ID. It's probably something obvious but I to cannot place it.

Hi I just visited your website and I thought maybe you could help me.

Do you know this song? I heard it on a radio hour which also featured Ladytron, The Beta Band, The Notwist, Royksopp, Hefner... I think it must be recent.

Chorus goes:

"I know why if you believe me I know I'm not out of my mind I know why if you deceive me I know I'm not the one who said I was right"

Some bits:

"Every time i choose my street it's got to be so much better"

"This girl on the gas station smiling like she's seen the inside of me"

"This time" is repeated a lot through the song at the beggining of each verse.

It reminded me a bit of 'West End Girls" by Pet shop Boys. The singer has a delivery similar to Neil Tennant.

ten months pass...
What's that (fairly big) hip hop/R&B song from the last six months or so that goes "Boy. Boy. OOH BOY." over and over again? I keep confusing it with N.O.R.E.'s "Nothin'". I have a feeling it's J-LO or something. You know what it is.

Y'know, it's a high-pitched little sample. C'mon.

Oh Boy by Cam'Ron I suspect

Yup, that's it. But then some R&B song used the same backing track, and that might have been J-lo.
