Cool [first] things uploaded through a P2P app

Throughout several months of using Audiogalaxy and WinMX, I have been heartened at the variety of stuff people have downloaded from me. Whenever I launched one of these applications, I have usually been quickly pounced upon not only for the latest Britney single or whatever, but for everything from Orbital to Althea & Donna to Kenickie to Kleenex to Augustus Pablo to Kahimi Karie to Björn Rosenström to Bad Dream Fancy Dress.

When AG dried out, I swiftly fetched SoulSeek, and have now had a few weeks of rather successful searching'n'loading. But in the same period of time, not one single upload occurred from my hard drive. I've naturally wondered whether my collection was really that uninteresting (but then, apparently only to SoulSeek users); I've also repeatedly checked that the shared directories were correctly set (they were). In short, this has baffled me a bit.

But now, just a few minutes ago, my first upload was completed! Someone had found just what they had been looking for in my hard drive! It was... the old Soviet Union national anthem sung by the Red Army Choir!

*Boggle*.

Any other amusing filesharing stories out there?

Yeah, as a matter of fact, I have an interesting anecdote.

This bloke connected to my computer and he, like, uploaded a file.

Like I say, interesting.

Keep the non-sequiturs coming, folks.

Haha, you're right, it did come across as a bit of a non-event, didn't it? It's just that it had baffled me that the SS upload bit had been so silent compared to a) the amount and variety of stuff I find there and b) the activity using other apps.

And for the record, I've never had anything newer than the third to last Britney single :)
