some girl says 'for everything she does' a few times in the courous in an arch manner. i've heard it at Trash, i think, maybe at nag nag nag. fits comfortably under 'electroclash' banner. you know, that's the first time i ever had to type 'electroclash',a nd it's a pretty difficult thing to bring oneself to do. nasty phrase.

I think you mean Extensive Care by Crossover

it wouldn't surprise me if i did, but it's for kazaa to confirm. cheers! and, what, did you quite kingston? cos suddenly, you're never there anymore.

matthew james, Monday, 22 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Yes, I did quit Kingston (reason: I just couldn't be bothered anymore). I have spent the last couple of months doing very little apart from sleeping until late-afternoon and (occasionly) pretending to look for work.

jamesmichaelward, Monday, 22 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

see, you've got to get up pretty early in the morning to get one past me. which you just said you weren't doing, so it all fits into place. it was a truly shit way to spend time though, i'm having no more of that course.

maybe you should be a barber, you like haircuts.

matthew james, Monday, 22 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I'd quite like to design hair, but I wouldn't want to have to cut it (other people's hair! yuk!)

So what are you up to (apart from going to Nag Nag Nag and Trash)?

jamesmichaelward, Monday, 22 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

if i'm completely honest, i'm back in yorkshire, and last week, in rather a change from trash and nag, was getting blazingly stoned with some slightly racist pig farmers from castleford. and getting on perfectly well with them. especially surprising as i currently look like from some 80's thatcher-baiting gissajob drama. back in kingston come september. before then, one entire month in france, seeing what happens.

right song, byt the way. and it sounded much better in a club, but there you go.

matthew james, Monday, 22 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I spent one entire weekend in France during Easter. It was very nice except for the rats. The rats, I felt, let Paris down a little.

(ps: getting stoned is for hippies)

jamesmichaelward, Monday, 22 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

well, i don't do it with the intention of forming feasible theses on lovin' one another. but you know, i've started thinking along the lines, one thing needn't preculude another. but i'm no damn hippy, the dirty mud-feet buggers. maybe you should try some, james. relax a little, man.

rats would suit paris i think. i always think of the french of having a beautiful undercurrent of shameless dirtiness alongside that notorious arrogance.

matthew james, Monday, 22 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

i don't mean any of that in a bad way, for any french people reading. just in the way that some people look really bad with a cigarette, but even a slightly filthy looking frenchman looks pretty cool with one. plus i love that dirty rumble of the french farmers accent.
