Ozzy Osbourne Dreamer, Rushmore.

Having watched the Osbournes a bit, when I listen to dreamer I just feel sorry for Ozzy. It's not a particularly good song but don't you get the feeling of desperation in there? I mean he was a big cheese and now he's stuck at home with pets shitting everywhere and little bastard kids who are spoiled and piss him off all day. It reminds me of Bill Murray's character in Rushmore. He is ozzy osbourne.

It's a pretty shit song actually but I still see it as some kind of bored moan about suburbia and this makes me listen to it every time it comes on the radio. Is this mentalist?

And the fact that it's a clapped out Aerosmith rip off done by a clapped out tired old rockstar only adds to it. Like the way that Elton John thing about "I used to be the main express" was such a dreary dirge. You know? I used to be something important and interesting, now I'm not, and hey! to top it off I make shit boring music now too. Nothing's relevent about me, look at how shit being old is!

Anyone else get this?

"little bastard kids who are spoiled" = whose fault is this? (well, the "little" is no one's i guess, that's the size kids come in)

Yes it is his fault but still, he can still be sorry for himself. This thread is really dying a death.

He's a tragic figure indeed. Lifted up to God status because of those four Sabbath albums, and then thirty years of underachievement. He's the Brian Wilson of proto-metal...

Six albums surely?

Anyway, has anyone ever heard his first band after BS, Ozzmosis? (Yes, I know, great title...) Reading on Allmusic it sounds amazing, but you can never trust AM..

"Sabbath Bloody Sabbath" definitely wasn't up to par with the first four. I thought that Ozzmosis was rather weak too, but it had its moments. Does anyone know it it was a big commercial success?
