one year passes...

are there any good free simple downloadable software programs that give nice synth sounds when running a midi keyboard through a mac?

I've got simplesynth which is a bit rub. I want something better than that and freely downloadable, obv.

you would probably have better luck at a site like.. oh, maybe mac music..

ps - Absynth would be excellent for your needs, but it's not free. I doubt you will find much high quality free stuff, shareware maybe..
