caveats and exceptions: Britney Spears has yet to release another single since "3," and I didn't count any follow-up to a #1 that was itself a #1 ("Poker Face," "I Gotta Feeling," etc.) and in those cases just went to the next single that missed #1.

I totally dismissed "Meet Me Halfway" at first, but lately I've stumbled across it on the radio a couple times where it's sounded really good before I even realized what it was, so I have to give that one props. I hate "In My Head" the most, which is pretty amazing considering it's up against "Diva" and "LoveGame."

My perspective is possibly skewed by the fact I've only heard "Vanilla Twilight" once, when I watched the video for lols. But really, "Diva" is one of the most gawdawful unlistenable messes I've ever heard. The fact that I hold it in lower regard than "Disco Stick", which quite frankly makes me want to hurl at the very thought, speaks volumes.

ahahaha "diva" is the easy winner for me, spent so much time caning it this time last year. aural equivalent of a tyra.gif!

the chorus to "meet me halfway" has a lovely melody but the verses are such dreck that it never quite emerges as an overall good song.

"i do not hook up", like "my life would suck...", is awkward and forced and i just want people to acknowledge that my december was kelly's best album instead of trying to pretend it never happened :(
