"Nights in White Satin" and "Tuesday Afternoon" disqualified.

My pick:

"Out and In" (from To Our Children's Children's Children)

Joe, Saturday, 27 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

'Love & Beauty','Another Morning','Ride my See Saw',I'll have to check out 'Out & In',it's easy to get lost with them as they've got such a large repertoire.

Paul R, Sunday, 28 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

"Ride My See-Saw" or "I'm just a Singer in a Rock'n'Roll Band" (i think that's the title).

What about "The Voice" on LONG DISTANT VOYAGER (my sister had that record, I believe)?

Alex in NYC, Sunday, 28 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

"Story In Your Eyes", at least its pace isn't crawling, and it's got some distortion in the guitars. Catchy, too!

Matt Riedl (veal), Sunday, 28 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Go Now...pop classic, I reckon.

Gemini Dream

bris, Sunday, 28 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Really? "I'm Just a Singer in a Rock 'n 'Roll Band" makes me giggle, as does "Ride My See-Saw" (though at least in a good way, for the latter).

Joe, Monday, 29 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Yeah, I'm going to have to go with either "The Voice" or "Gemini Dream" too. Both are exceptionally cheese-tastic, but they still make me smile. (I mean, jeeze, "Gemini Dream" could have been a lot more rocking, but what the fuck were they thinking when they threw in the honky tonk piano?)

Sean Carruthers, Monday, 29 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

three years pass...
"To Share Our Love" off On the Threshold of a Dream. So inspirational and euphoric. And it's surprisingly funky.

Blue Guitar (on the Justin Hayward/John Lodge solo album)

The Story In Your Eyes, easy

"Question"

Lotta Continua (Damian), Wednesday, 24 May 2006 17:05 (twenty years ago)

I'd go with "Question," too, if I only get one. But "Story in Your Eyes" and "Ride My See-Saw" are excellent.

No doubt Question is great, as are all of their lead offs 68-71, and I almost went with Dear Diary for it's trippy vox and sheer flutiness, but Tuesday Afternoon it is, now that I've had a moment to sort this out.

"New Horizons" or "Your Wildest Dreams"

Phoebe Sabbatini (Feebee), Saturday, 17 June 2006 08:56 (nineteen years ago)

"Your Wildest Dreams"

John Fredland (jfredland), Saturday, 17 June 2006 09:52 (nineteen years ago)

I agree, "Your Wildest Dreams" tends to get unjustly dismissed or passed-over. "New Horizons" is quite fabulous; the very end with just the piano and the airy mellotron strings just socks me in the stomach each time...

Joe (Joe), Saturday, 17 June 2006 16:16 (nineteen years ago)

I might have been unoriginal and picked "Legend Of a Mind" (which is a great track too", but I choose "Melancholy Man"

Geir Hongro (GeirHong), Saturday, 17 June 2006 22:09 (nineteen years ago)
