It's so cool that Malkmus is going to curate ATP in September 2003 so far the line-up includes Sonic Youth and Spoon but because Malkmus is a big time folkie there will probably be a major emphasis on folk music, lets wait and see.

uh yeah... I want to believe you (or rather Barry Hogan unless you're his mouthpiece... yeah i read neumu too) HOWEVER something tells me that there will be a larger rock contigent than folk, particularly rock of the "indie" variety.

Dear fucking god. What? Is Portland, the most indie/rockist city in this country, too cheezy for Malkmus?

Only possibility of good: Tall Dwarfs.

Otherwise, zzzzzzzzzzzzzz... I feel quite sorry for New York right now.

ha! portland is the most vanilla city in the world -- folk doki pop-o-rama

Isn't one of CCR dead now, and the remaining members all hate each other. There's prob. more chance of Pavement re-forming...

I bet Malkmus picks the Groundhogs...

this is bad luck for you ppl.

i was trying to be sarcastic or something. i should've known better. i've always though malky to be a j. fogerty impressionist.

unfortunately though, you are correct. t. fogerty is dead and they are all pissed at eachother fighting over music rights. a pavement reunion doesn't seem unlikely at all really...

i wonder if silver jews'll play? m.

What are the odds this will be the least diverse ATP lineup ever?

Good news. I am curating ATP Denver 2003 featuring Hot Beef Combo, Daniel Tiger, Groove Puppet, and other such sizzling acts.

I'm curating Ladyfest Macon 2003 with David Lee Roth, Cinderella, Britny Fox, Dangerous Toys, and Cex. Ladies get in free!

We Americans can only hope so!! I'd like to see Mr Knox give Malkmus an over the knee spanking and sample it for a drum track.

Will we also get The Dead C?? Were long over due for an East Coast visit.
