RFI: That hardcore track which sampled Moonlight Sonata?

People taling about that 'Clubbed to Death' track reminded me of the Hardcore/Jungle track which sampled 'Moonlight Sonata'.

Does anyone remember whodid it, because if Iever knew, I don't know it know.

I was morbidly curious about this, so had a look on Kazaa ...

Found a track called "Moonlight (Techno Remix)" by (and this is the *really* odd bit) Mozart!

Not very hardcore though. (Or, indeed, good.)

If you find out who it was, please post the answer!

Is it "The green man" by Shut up and Dance?

It has classical string samples, but I'm not familiar with 'Moonlight Sonata' so wouldn't know if that was it or not...

I think I have said track, it's by DJ SS or one of his cronies. You'll have to wait till monday for a definite title since I'm not at home so I can't check my collection. It can be found on a double anthology of hardcore classics by DJ SS & company (also forgot the title of the album). There's another one who samples 'Fur Elise'.

It's The Lighter by DJ SS, though it is also found under the credit Sound Of The Future. One of the great jungle tracks, much remixed.

I just d/led "the lighter" and the sample is the theme from "a love story"...is there something else out there that sampled moonlight sonata?

Okay, although I'm not entirely sure about the Moonlight Sonate I think it could be 'Intro' (remix) by Tango.

and if corny classical intro's to hardcore tracks are your thing you could also track down 'New Dance' by Barcode (samples Vivaldi).

Aaaaaargh! No it isn't.

I don't know what 'The Lighter' samples, but it ain't Moonlight Sonata. Still, it's good that I heard 'The Lighter' again 'cos it's a bit good. I'll continue my search...
