What's worth reading? Anything? Any of the cover-mounted CD types consistently good?

Grooves Magazine is excellent for IDM coverage.

Mixmag is excellent for TDM coverage, and the CDs were well above the norm a year or two ago, though I'm picking and choosing now. The album reviews are surprisingly good, their top ten of 2001 was very close to mine (Slam, Beta Band, Royksopp et al).

is it me or is Urb not as good as it used to be? I used to read that and XLR8R, but now I just go to the stores and buy as much shit as I can and figure it out from there.

I've al;ways liked Jockey Slut, lots of nice 12" reveiws, seems to cover all styles of electronic music, The Wire too but the electronic music coverage is a bit patchy... and online absorb.org and boomkat.com are both very good referance for the latest releases

Absorb.org is a good source of information, but the writing's not that hot.

for obvious reasons :-)

I buy Jockey Slut. Muzik occasionally. Mixmag slightly less than either of them, it's become less about music which doesn't suit me too much.

BPM Magazine

Also for obvious reasons. If you genuinely care about not reading all my stuff and everyone elses here then I would say Jockey Slut! Had to take the plugging opportunity too.

six years pass...

What electronic music websites are you reading?

I was reminiscing about the old days of music websites like Magic Feet, Forcefield, No More Words, Phinnweb, Massive, Igloomag...

Has the blogosphere more or less killed this? What are you guys reading besides RA?

discogs and new release emails/website updates from online shops and distributors.
artists' websites or myspace (ugh) profiles.

the wire's website has some great archival material and i always like when they post the unedited interview transcripts.

fact is pretty decent for electronic music as is earplug.

i have not been reading music blogs at all lately. (which is more due to my laziness/lack of time more than anything else)

the milk factory which is back online after an extended break,
and little white earbuds (if this is an ilm'r - hello), both of which feature in my daily surf sessions.

i'd second 'little white earbuds'. especially as stylus is no more ('beatz by the pound').

textura is also worth a read and is closer to magazine format in that it comes out monthly.

I'm pretty much plugged to RA.

not really a magazine but Disquiet is a good choice for a more experimental approach:
