RFI: Deichkind anyone?

So apart from hearing 'The Ketchup Song' a lot, watching a little bit of MTV Deutchland on my travels into Germany I encountered this little gem of a song: 'Limit' By Deichkind. Very sparse electroclashish backing, and one verse each from three different German rappers, spitting about god knows what, with a chorus where they all join in with processed vocals.

Tracked down a few other tracks on S**ls**k but they are much more conventional hip-hop, and nowhere near the same league as this track.

A search revealed no threads at all, but someone else must have heard of them...

Pretty nifty low-budget video too.

V good stuff - "Bon Voyage" was his biggest hit as I recall, I've got a few tracks at home, will check them out again this evening and report back for an S/D.

In fact, if anybody's interested in some German hip-hop recommendations, I'm only too happy to oblige...

Don't suppose you know any German and are able to translate the lyrics are you? Babelfish produces the usual gibberish and I only know 'Please', 'Thank you', 'Hello', 'Goodbye', 'Can I/We Pay Please' and various types of food and drink.

On second thoughts it might spoil the song for me, so maybe don't bother. Try and download 'Limit' though.
