I walked past a car today which was blaring "Bohemian Rhapsody" and inevitably thought of Wayne's World. After seeing this thread about car music, I wondered: was the song commonly a 'cruising in the car' song before the film scene, or do we have Mike Meyers to thank for throngs of head-banging wackos the world over? Is this art imitating life or the reverse?

as funny as wayne's world was, surely wayne campbell was never actually COOL and so he and his cronies were probably rare in moshing to Bo Rap in the Mirth Mobile...i remember seeing it at the time and thinking 'well this character is funny but why is he so into rawk dinosaurs like Kiss and Aerosmith, its 1993 you mulleted goon!'

I dunno, I blasted it in the 70s. It WAS on the radio a lot, and it was one of the better loud tracks played at the time.
