Amazon just sent me a "special coupon" which reads:
"We've noticed that many of our customers who have purchased albums by The Streets also enjoy the music of Playgroup. For this reason, you might like to know that Playgroup's new album DJ Kicks is now available."
I haven't heard DJ Kicks. Do they sound anything alike--and how? Or is Amazon just trying to hit me up for sales?

"Blimey"

The Playgroup DJ Kicks album is apparently very good but if you're after stuff which is a bit like The Streets try Snap, Crackle And Bop by John Cooper Clarke (and even thats not VERY like)

try Chas n' Dave and the Stereo MCs - at the same time

Tom's recommendation on the money,
plus all who love Joy Division/Martin Hannett or Bob Dylan will bow down before Snap, Crackle [&] Bop

Try those things RADA used to teach public school graduates to speak Mockney back in the 60s.
