True enough.

Ned Raggett, Thursday, 22 May 2014 15:19 (twelve years ago)

Who did the cover? Amazing

dollar rave club (upper mississippi sh@kedown), Thursday, 22 May 2014 15:20 (twelve years ago)

Our own Johnny Fever

Ned Raggett, Thursday, 22 May 2014 15:22 (twelve years ago)

Listening now, and I'm not even on this one. Wow, I'm a great guy.

Immediate Follower (NA), Thursday, 22 May 2014 15:25 (twelve years ago)

So charitable and generous!

I'm proud of this.

funch dressing (La Lechera), Thursday, 22 May 2014 15:38 (twelve years ago)

Man that cover really is great. Gonna check this out today.

grandavis, Thursday, 22 May 2014 15:45 (twelve years ago)

Wondering which shoegaze band is next on Ismael's drumbeat ripoff list

verhzleyavbtreleambreb (imago), Thursday, 22 May 2014 18:45 (twelve years ago)

XD

verhzleyavbtreleambreb (imago), Thursday, 22 May 2014 18:45 (twelve years ago)

Ismael Klata, Thursday, 22 May 2014 18:51 (twelve years ago)

sarahell i love the trilled r on "ian brady"!! so moz.

snoball -- your voice rules

funch dressing (La Lechera), Thursday, 22 May 2014 19:24 (twelve years ago)

and the staircase song was funny too

funch dressing (La Lechera), Thursday, 22 May 2014 19:27 (twelve years ago)

sarahell ✓✓✓

very taken with the majority of this, really. Telecom's is absolutely stunning and deserves special mention - very Dandy Warhols. Gypsy Chips' contribution also mighty, and snoball with the usual magic. but yeah, top stuff throughout really

verhzleyavbtreleambreb (imago), Thursday, 22 May 2014 19:42 (twelve years ago)

gotta give credit where credit is due: imago made a few valuable contributions to the lyrics of my song

sarahell, Thursday, 22 May 2014 19:53 (twelve years ago)

an apt memorial to a pom, cantus in memoriam elvis who flew too close to the sun, his hubris amply revealed, lurching towards the inevitable reckoning

Little Saint Hugh of Lincoln (nakhchivan), Thursday, 22 May 2014 20:32 (twelve years ago)

Is that 'Shoot You Down', Ismael? :D

Toni Braxton-Hicks (Turrican), Thursday, 22 May 2014 20:41 (twelve years ago)

It is - and murder to play along with to boot.

(xps shoegaze my foot, imago the joke is on you)

Ismael Klata, Thursday, 22 May 2014 20:46 (twelve years ago)

haha whoops it seems I mixed up Catherine Wheel's 'Ferment' with 'Shoot You Down'. same period/style. whatever. now I'm feeding you ideas!

verhzleyavbtreleambreb (imago), Thursday, 22 May 2014 21:03 (twelve years ago)

I fucking love that Gypsy Chips track!

Toni Braxton-Hicks (Turrican), Friday, 23 May 2014 02:03 (twelve years ago)

Yeah so do I! I was worried my track would be a terrible outlier cos I did a moody little synthy thing, but I'm glad Im not the only one.

the Bronski Review (Trayce), Friday, 23 May 2014 02:09 (twelve years ago)

Enjoyed yours too, Trayce :) You did great considering the amount of time you had!

Toni Braxton-Hicks (Turrican), Friday, 23 May 2014 02:22 (twelve years ago)

Okay it's got no love on this thread yet so I gotta say Charlie H really killed it with his.

Ned Raggett, Friday, 23 May 2014 02:52 (twelve years ago)

Oh yeah, Charlie H's track is awesome too! There's a lot of good stuff here.

Toni Braxton-Hicks (Turrican), Friday, 23 May 2014 03:00 (twelve years ago)

aww thanks guys. vocals were a bit of an afterthought tbh as i originally planned to make them a bit more Morrissey-like, but that's part of the beauty of a project like this: you can nail some of the elements and there's plenty of room for the other parts to come together more... unwittingly.

charlie h, Friday, 23 May 2014 03:18 (twelve years ago)

i'm a huge fan of Ismael's "Istanbul" btw

charlie h, Friday, 23 May 2014 03:19 (twelve years ago)

Haha yeah mine too approximately 2 hours. It shows. Oh well, it sounds ok!

the Bronski Review (Trayce), Friday, 23 May 2014 04:12 (twelve years ago)

some really tidy chord changes on the first track! wow

charlie h, Friday, 23 May 2014 08:17 (twelve years ago)

thanks!

Elvis Telecom, Friday, 23 May 2014 23:32 (twelve years ago)

How long before everyone:
a) gets death threats from Moz fans
b) receives a true-to-you fatwa

If you want to be in the news do something Morrissey related then go back into your hole in the ground.

Dying for my country at the culture war (King Boy Pato), Sunday, 25 May 2014 05:02 (twelve years ago)

Butthurt Moz fans, their tears are so sweet.

an office job is as secure as a Weetabix padlock (snoball), Sunday, 25 May 2014 09:11 (twelve years ago)

If you know anything about that site, you will know they get butthurt about anything Moz related. There are also weirdos who post anti-Moz stuff anonymously (been going on for over 10 years now) and a guy called John Barleycorn who upsets the Mozaphiles by questioning Morrissey's current greatness. Particularly hilarious recently are posts about the so-called Blue Rose Movement LOL.

OutdoorFish, Sunday, 25 May 2014 11:08 (twelve years ago)

If you know anything about that site, you are already lost

Kwotch Pawasites - Wrong Or Right (wins), Sunday, 25 May 2014 11:10 (twelve years ago)

Look at the flying butthurtresses!

the Bronski Review (Trayce), Sunday, 25 May 2014 23:55 (twelve years ago)

so, I've been away for a while and finally got to listen to this !
The opener brings a great mood and snoball's cracks me up.
Not a lot of activity on this thread though... maybe the title of the thread should mention Morrissey ?
When is the "original" album released by the way ?

AlXTC from Paris, Friday, 30 May 2014 10:50 (twelve years ago)
