Buju Banton was dj-ing at the front of a record store and we were all excited because Autechre were going to be collaborating with him live and then these druid-y looking dudes came out and kind of just whispered in his ear which made the music turned all crazy, and then we turned around and there was a Slayer-ish looking heavy metal band playing glitchy bleeps and bloops live behind us and we all realized that they were the real Autechre and the druids were actually felix da housecat.

I had a dream once that I was at a party in a huge warehouse & Kruder & Dorfmeister were spinning & they invited me to do a set & I kept flipping through their records & couldn't identify a single one, they had all these strange symbols all over them, the only one I could identify was a Richard Pryor record that would totally kill the vibe so I started to panic.

I had a dream Ned and Donut Bitch were performing at an Indian restaurant in a strip mall in Orange County. DB was laying down some loopy, droney thing while Ned worked the room with his Robin Williams meets Jiminy Cricket schtick. I loved it, but the owners pulled the plug after a couple of songs. And then this twin brother and sister acapella emo act took over, that's what most of the crowd had come for.

Last night I was playing in a charity golf tournament. A helium balloon was lightly tied to my wrist and kept threatening to lift me into the sky. We took a lunch break and I left Emma B behind. It was extremely sunny and the lawns were bright shiny green. I followed the other golfers off the course and into a curious house that was much larger on the inside than it looked on the outside. Everything was painted grey-blue, walls, doors, etc. I lost track of everyone else and got lost. The kitchen was empty. There were small pictures of jazz musicians that had been cut out of magazines on the fridge.

I opened a door and it was a music room - strange guitars, amps, everything immaculate and tidied up. There was a picture on the door of the guy whose room it was; he had half-moon reading glasses and a scraggly beard. I shut the door quickly.

I opened another door and it led to a crawl-space with a comfy mattress in it. I turned on the light. Many pages of notepaper lay about. I felt like a spy. I started looking at them and all the notes were in French. Some of the pages had photos of skimpy models that had been cut out of magazines and glued there. Suddenly I knew that this was a secret place. I turned off the light and jumped down to the main floor. I opened another door and there everybody was! They had cups of steaming coffee and tea and laughed at me and told me they had gotten lost too.

weird thing mark: the teacher uttered something. you came to the front. you were in a schoolboy uniform, with the shorts and tie, old style, harry potter type stuff really but you were the 40 yr old with the beer belly, not some younger version or anything, with your grin.

so you had OHP slides and you gave a presentation and it was on a book (I can't remember the name now but the book does exist). I was in the audience and we would laugh every now and again and you'd carry on and you grinned throughout and then i woke up.
