moeilijk, moeilijk.. volgens mij zou ik 'm niet iets willen vragen, maar wel willen aanmoedigen om te kappen met touren. Misschien zou ik 'm daarvoor eerst moeten vragen diep in zijn hart te kijken of hij aan touren nu werkelijk plezier beleefd.

Philip Jones: I read about

donated $100+ to the Hurricane Victims fund and so duly wired my $101
(just to be safe) over and sat tight waiting for the phone to ring.
Saturday evening at 6.30pm it did. "Hello Philip Jones, this is Brian
Wilson phoning from America" The rest is a bit of a blur. He sounded
compus mentus, chipper even...like he was really enjoying telephoning
countless fans for a quick chit chat. The one mistake I made in the
excitement of it all was asking "can you name the fourth Beatles album"
when he asked me to ask him "any" music trivia question. I'm on the
phone to Brian Wilson for godsake and that's the best I could come up
with?! "Revolver" came the answer. I guess he's hazy on a few 60s
things. A few people have asked me if I really thought it was him and
there was no mistaking it. I'd recognise that sideways-mouth talk
anywhere.

maar betalen voor een telefonische meet met een celebrity.. das toch niet zo lelijk als toevallige vipspotting ;) (wat dan telefonisch weer onmogelijk is.. hoewel.. Paul Haenen belt ook mensen op op hun verjaardag)
