i hate having an opinion

it's never worth it! someone always proves you wrong, and if you decide yr right, the other person will just end up hating yr guts. also, you never know enough to argue yr case. of course you could take time to learn all the info, but info is so subjectively compiled that it seems impossible to use perfectly. being indifferent or saying "i dont know, maybe" seems like the most reasonable stance to take on ANYTHING. which is all kind of depressing, really. also, i find people w/ strong opinions aren't very well-liked.

I have a rather bad, ok, an awful trait of not being able to admit I'm ever wrong when arguing with someone. But then again, whoever I argue with also thinks they're right too but someone's got to be wrong. If you didn't think you were right you wouldn't be arguing the case in the first place.

Rebekah -you say you find that people with strong opinions aren't really liked? I totally agree. It's because very opinionated people give the impression that they think they know everything about everthing, which is impossible. They give the impression that they think they know more and know better than anyone else. Am I being too opinionated now? Whoops. I'll shut up now.

I thought it was people who are indecisive and unsure of themeselves that were disliked... most women I talk to say they hate that quality in a guy, and then I see them go out with overbearing assholes.

I don’t necessarily believe that people with opinions are disliked by those who disagree with them— I think it’s only people who are bombastic and beligerent with their beliefs are.
